Eating a plum in July is not the same as eating one in January, as it's preferable to enjoy it during the fruit's natural season. However, there are other varieties that can be grown year-round without problems, such as bananas, or vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, and carrots, which are perfect for summer due to their high carotene and vitamin A content.

There's a tendency to consume them year-round, often resorting to out-of-season or imported products, but it's advisable to consider which fruits and vegetables we should be eating depending on the season. Another reason is purely ecological: consuming them within their natural cycle avoids forced cultivation and promotes local production. Furthermore, it allows us to enjoy better flavor and price, since domestically grown produce doesn't include transportation costs.

For all the reasons stated above, from EDYPRO We recommend responsible food consumption, respecting the optimal seasons for each crop so that the benefits are not only nutritional or economic, but also environmental, by making proper use of natural resources.

Frutas de Verano Una buena alimentación se basa en el equilibrio de los nutrientes que ingerimos a lo largo del día.
