As it has been for almost thirty years, this summer the company Lugano Leonardo SRL<\/span> <\/strong>It organizes a field demonstration day, where the main new rice varieties developed by the Company will be presented. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Day\u00a0It will be held on August 28th starting at 10:00 AM<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in the Viazzo Maurizio farm<\/span><\/strong> is found in the Vinzaglio Tower, in the province of Novara<\/span><\/strong>, It is aimed particularly at farmers, traders and technicians, but will be open to all those who are interested.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lugano Leonardo<\/span><\/strong>, The seed company, founded in the 1950s, has dedicated itself for many years to the study and development of new rice varieties for cultivation in all European rice-growing regions, as well as in Russia and Turkey. The company has established a major research center that enables it to introduce new rice seed varieties almost every year, focusing its studies on the nutritional value of the pericarp's characteristics, particularly its antioxidant properties. This work is constantly evolving, and it is from this research that the idea of creating a special line of rice\u2014functional rice\u2014emerged. Lugano<\/span> <\/strong>This includes giant embryo varieties, obtained through traditional breeding programs, and is GMO-free. To date, the study has also included giant embryo varieties with black and red pericarp.<\/span><\/p>\n
