Known in agricultural circles as the Garden of Europe, Murcia offers endless possibilities for enjoying this Easter week. For many, this region is largely unknown, but that's about to change, because in EDYPRO We've decided to give you some tips in case you still haven't decided on a destination for your vacation.
Nestled between Valencia, southern Andalusia, and the plains of La Mancha, Murcia is a small region brimming with secrets and monumental cities like Cartagena and Caravaca. Known for its famous fertile plains, this land is a paradise for fruit and vegetable production, thanks to its semi-arid Mediterranean climate and environmentally friendly farming practices. Notable crops include lemons, grapefruits, peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, grapes, watermelons, the Jumilla PDO pear, and the Torre Pacheco melon, among others. As for vegetables, lettuce, peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, zucchini, cabbage, and artichokes are some of the products that have been exported for decades.
