It's a 6.5km stretch that you can explore on foot or by bicycle while enjoying the warm waters of the Mediterranean. 
  • Mouth of the Ebro. This unusual place deserves special mention. Stretching 25 km from Amposta to the river's mouth, it boasts a unique landscape surrounded by stunning natural scenery and abundant rice paddies. This area encompasses several protected natural spaces, such as Buda Island, San Antonio Island, and Garxal, and can even be visited by taking a cruise.
  • Their crops. It's impossible to ignore the majestic presence of the rice paddies in this area. Everything revolves around rice in the Ebro Delta, one of the three places in Spain with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status. The Bomba, J Sendra, Argila, Montsianell, and Gleva varieties are the main ones cultivated here. With their medium-long, round grains, these rices are characterized by their unmistakable flavor and excellent evenness when cooked. Every restaurant in the area offers a wonderful rice dish on its daily menu. And indeed, the rice paddies have been the main feature of this landscape since the 17th century. 
  • A route through its villages and markets. If you have a few extra days, we recommend a route through its most emblematic towns. From Deltebre, Sant Carles de la Ràpita, Els Eucaliptus, Poble Nou del Delta, Riumar, Amposta, and Sant Joan d'Enveija, among others, you can admire the architecture and the area's rich gastronomy. Of all the markets you can find, the one in Tortosa deserves special mention. Built between 1884 and 1887, this building is one of the city's most iconic. There you can find all the freshest seasonal produce while admiring this modernist structure, built on land reclaimed from the Ebro River, overlooking the river port.

What activities can't you miss?
