Solution to excessive flowering in olive groves

PROBLEM

Excessive flowering with few new leaves will stress the tree, demanding more carbohydrates than it can produce from the unrenewed foliage. Furthermore, if proper thinning is not achieved during the natural fruit drop, this will ultimately limit the thickening and accumulation of fatty acids in the olives.

Furthermore, the excess of fruit this year may be a cause of pronounced alternate bearing next year.

SOLUTION

From EDYPRO we recommend doing this fruit thinning treatment without hormones which will help reduce the number of fruits per tree and activate the renewal of the foliage.
