PROBLEM
This farm, called La Funa, previously had an orange grove. The farmer uprooted the old trees and planted new ones of the orange variety. Chislett Summer Navel.
However, the land continued to suffer infectious processes caused by nematodes. These tiny animals, which generally do not present problems since they feed on fungi, bacteria and other organisms, sometimes, when a group of them does pose a threat to crops because they feed on the roots of the plants.
In the photographs we can observe the situation with July 22nd, the date on which the repercussions of the nematodes became evident in the trees;
- Reduced growth
- Chlorosis in the leaves
- Early or delayed maturity
- Wilting regardless of adequate soil moisture
- Reduction in yields
The result is the invasion of nematodes into the root system, interrupting the correct flow of raw sap, which results in the end of the plant's productive life.

SOLUTION
From EDYPRO We diagnosed this disease and decided to manage the situation and their trees with the application of BIDESINFECTION PLUS, This product is capable of controlling fungal and nematode infections in established crops. It has been developed for application via irrigation, providing an excellent environment to maintain the crop's vital and nutritional balance.
To recover the tree, the following treatment was started:
- First application at the end of July. An initial impact dose was administered. BIDESINFECTION PLUS via irrigation at 80 L./ha.
- One month after this application was implemented, the following was carried out: second application of 60 L./ha. of this same solution via irrigation.
- A third application is pending. It will also include... BIDESINFECTION PLUS 40 L/ha via irrigation.
RESULT
The crop has responded exceptionally well, as we can see in these photographs from September 6, 2019.
