EDYPRO Biotechnology closed 2018 with a production of 630 tons of finished biotechnological products. The figure represents an increase of more than 14% compared to the 2017 production, when 548 tons were reached.
This increase in production has been made possible thanks to the constant improvement of manufacturing processes, the addition of new customers and the launch of three new products.
SPECIAL ROOTING AGENT It was launched in April and is a special biotechnological product with amino acids and micronutrients that activates the powerful development of secondary roots and root hairs in crops. It aids root establishment during critical periods, and its effectiveness has been demonstrated in greenhouse vegetable crops and citrus, where it successfully restored root systems damaged by herbicide poisoning.
In August 2018 EDYPRO launched CA-FRUIT, This product is a special biotechnological formulation of high-calcium, nitrogen-free fertilizer that facilitates fruit thickening, enhancing its organoleptic properties and extending its post-harvest shelf life. It has achieved great market acceptance with consistent demand, placing it among the company's medium-volume products in just two months.
The last release of the year was ZIMA MAX IRON, A highly concentrated solution of zinc, manganese, and iron microelements. Its dual effect helps to quickly correct deficiencies of these elements and prevent them thanks to its slow-release formula.
During 2018 EDYPRO It has strengthened its presence in the rice-growing areas of Portugal, France and Italy, where it has registered its products for organic agriculture. Furthermore, it has maintained contact with potential clients in China who have shown great interest in the biotechnological products for Residue-Free Rice production and have visited Spain twice to learn about EDYPRO's innovations and their field results.
In the domestic market, the company has strengthened its Sales team and has begun its expansion into the Murcia area. He has also participated in numerous events in the country's most important agricultural areas.
Goals for 2019
EDYPRO has set itself the following goal for the new year to achieve a production of 700 tons, while maintaining the same quality of finished product and service for its customers. It plans to launch two new products that are in the pre-launch phase.
Regarding the opening of new markets, the company wants finalize its implementation in Murcia and strengthen its position in Huelva, Seville and Extremadura and to achieve greater penetration in the work areas, both nationally and internationally. To achieve the planned objectives, EDYPRO is in the process of incorporating technical sales representatives in various regions.
