The fourth largest rice producer in Spain is the Valencian Community, accounting for approximately 141% of national rice production, with significant growth. annual. Besides Valencia, Alicante is also a major rice producer, mainly in the areas of Pego and Oliva.
Pego (Alicante) is the traditional area where the famous Bomba rice is grown. This area is often affected by severe outbreaks of rice blast (Pyricularia), which negatively impact the harvest.
Some rice farmers in this area have treated their rice with our products:
- ROOT RICE to stimulate germination and ensure the successful establishment of the plants,
- EDYFRUIT RICE to stimulate the productive factors of the plant,
- PODIUM RICE to restore nutritional balance and strengthen the plant against stress factors.
The following shows the results obtained in 2015 through the application of the products of EDYPRO Biotechnology in several rice plots in Alicante. These plots clearly demonstrate the improvements in plant function provided by our biotechnology products.

The images above correspond to a rice plot in the Pego area, with the Bomba variety.
The seeds treated with ROOT RICE in the pre-germinated water and with EDYFRUIT RICE in the first herbicide application. In the image on the left, you can observe uniform development and strong plants with long leaves. In the photo on the right, we present a comparison of the plants treated with biotechnological products from EDYPRO and the untreated plants. You can see that the treated plants have a better developed root system with many absorbent hairs, and as a result, the plants are more vigorous and follow the normal growth rate.

The image shows the result of the applications of PODIUM RICE in the plot in the Pego area. The treated plant has a healthier appearance, with a greater number of grains per ear and greater consistency than the control.

The rice plot in the Pego area, treated with the products of EDYPRO It has ears of corn with a greater coloration compared to the control area, which has whiter ears of corn with a worse appearance.
Through the following image comparisons between plots treated with products of EDYPRO And with other products, we can see the differences in the condition and coloration of the plants and the ears of grain.
