Persimmon Skin Maintenance

PROBLEM

The quality of the fruit's skin determines its commercial appeal and post-harvest shelf life, especially in fruits intended for long-term storage, such as persimmons. This quality is achieved primarily through proper management in the field.

SOLUTION

From EDYPRO We have developed a special product CA-FRUIT configured by a new molecule that stands out for its rapid assimilation and deposit in the structure of plant tissue of the fruit.

CA-FRUIT it's a improved and more potent calcium, which increases cell subdivision in the fruit activating the fattening and increasing the consistency of the fruit's plastic matter. It also prevents premature fruit aging and increases resistance.

To test its effectiveness in the 2018 campaign, the following treatment experiment was carried out;

The treatments were performed on September 17, October 5, and October 29.

  • Collection: November 5th and 8th.
  • Chamber: November 6 and 9.
  • Production: January 3 and 8, 2019.

        Penetromy average: 5

RESULT

The warehouse manager does not notice differences among the items dealt with CA-FRUIT compared to those treated with other products on the market.

At field level, no difference is observed compared to other calcium correctors.

The result has been completely satisfactory in the conservation of Persimmon kaki long term preserved in chamber almost 70 days.
